The Asia Pacific Poker Tour while only in its infancy - 2008 is only the tours second season, has quickly risen to the top of the Asian poker calendar. The tour consists of several tournaments across the Asia pacific region including Macau, Seoul, Manila and Auckland. The final leg takes place down under at Sydney, Australia in the first week of December and boasts a $6000 USD Main Event.
In the first season of the APPT Sydney held the grand final that attracted over 500 poker pros, amateurs and lucky punters to battle it out for the first APPT champion title. Eventually Australian school teacher grant levy busted the field to win over $1,000,000 in prize money.
Players can win seats through both the MTT promotion and through live seat satellites and buy in events. All packages include buy in to the main event, and an opportunity to visit and explore Sydney.
