The World Of Poker!

Its been a while since I have posted an update on the happenings in poker world and much has been happening indeed. First item – the APPT in Macau with its Main Event well underway is keeping poker fans attentive witha prize pool over $900,000 up for grabs. Several big names lasted through day 1b including Johnny Chan and Vanessa Rousso. Soon enough the APPT will hit Sydney and we are giving away several seats to the event in some Live Seat Tournaments in late Octbober. Keep your eyes peeled for more on this soon.

Secondly the APT also in Macau has been keeping China lively after the olympics. The main event saw lucky 20-year-old Yevgeniy Timoshenko blitz the final table to win the $500,000 first place prize.

Finally the WSOP academy is visiting LA for the first time ever. The WSOP acadamey is just as it sounds – a poker academy where some poker super experts teach you how to play poker better. Past students all report favorably claiming they have easily won back the exspensive cost of the course in subsequent cash games. Maybe its worth checking out if your in the LA area.

On a parting note one lucky Carbon player EskimoWill, has picked up a decent chuck of the Carribean Stud Jackpot with a straight flush. After playing countless games without jackpot bets, Eskimo then choose to play for the jackpot aswell, and only four hands later was rewarded with over $4,000 in cash! Well done!
