The CarbonPoker Blogger Invitational Poker Tourney is Back

bloggers We had a helluva time the last tournament, and this one looks to be bigger and better.

The CarbonPoker Blogger Invivational Poker tourney is back this September 23. At 7pm EST, bloggers will be squaring off in a heated battle of cards, twitter updates and smack talk.

We’re happy to bring together some of the big names of the sports blogging world to play for a $700 prizepool. Returning is last tourney’s champ, Cousins of Ron Mexico and last place disapointment, PUNTE from WithLeather.

I finished in 2nd place last time, so my prize money has been forwarded to this event — a grand total of $700. Boom! I plan on finishing in the money again, so watch for the prizepool to grow and grow.

ChipKing Champion – $20,000 in Freerolls This Month

Labor Day has come and gone – so fall is officially here. While we’re squeezing the last drops out of summer, CarbonPoker is rolling out another great promotion: the ChipKing Champion.

This month we are offering up $20,000 in freerolls (in addition to our regularly scheduled free tourneys). In the ChipKing event, earn VIP Points through the eligibility periods to build your unique starting stacks for each of the Freeroll Events. The Top 50 VIP Point earners will compete in an exculsive (50-person only) $5K Freeroll. Again, this tourney will have unique starting stacks based on the VIP Points you’ve accumulated through the qualification periods.

The Final Countdown (to the Blogger Tourney)

With only one day to go until the CarbonPoker Blogger Tourney, things are getting pretty intense.

I’ve locked myself to my computer, practicing for the event. I’ve read my own poker strategy posts again and again and I’ve been reading all the other competing blogs to try and spot some weaknesses (there are many).

For the No-Limit Hold’em event tomorrow at 7pm EST — feel free to come in and watch — there will be a full table of 10 competitors, a live chat thread on the CarbonPoker Blog and me dominating the action. What else could you hope for?

Stay posted for the full lineup of players, side bets, nicknames, recaps and guest posts.

Don’t forget that there’s a $500 prizepool at stake — so in addition to the smack talk, there will be some pretty decent (or stupid) poker being played.
