oh it is very possible that a bad player could use such names but one should also be careful of those that would do it for a false tell.

I play on another site and some of the screen names are on the verge of being obscene. "bignockers" is just one of the milder ones and tells a lot about many of the idiots that play this game.

Nicknames are getting too generic these days. Then there are those names that don't make much sense.. like "Mae0007" for instance.

Mine is "Forty0unces" and I'm sure anyone could guess why. :D

I have to agree with you 100%. Although, I sometimes consider this to be a tell. It can give you a slight edge. Unfortunately, these people tend to ruin the game for the rest of us.

I agree that those types of names usually lead to a donk or other such idiot, but they show up under perfectly innocent screen names as well. Maybe we should be given a 24 hour waiting period to think about what our screen name will finally be; give them "guest" names until they have had a few days at the play money tables! I think the avatar tells a lot about the player as well, putting your picture there relates the same message - this is not facebook or myspace!

Nice point of view.
This might be important as you said.
I guess that the player name represents something, just after chossing my name that i thought that it was a very easy to record name, so I was not that happy with it. But anyway it is not like those insinuation name like: Youfold and thniks like that. Nice subject to get explored
