the funny thing is when u get on carbon for the first time and they call names like bingo, donkey, fish, . i did not know what they meet except for exmaple, the person said fish and showed me a fish and i said wow iam a fisherman to love it, he said WHAT and never said anymore to me . the second time was when a person called me a donkey, and i said where is the donkey at and he laugh so hard with the smily faces, and the 3rd time was bingo and i said i play bingo all the time and win and he said doh. but i have been here on carbon for 5 yrs and love it and learned a lot from here and i am abetter poker player now and i know all the slang words and what they mean lol lol

If you want it more than anything, it will be yours.
Maybe not on the same terms you imagine, but you will have it. But as strength, speed and practice prevail, as they tend to do in other contests it tends to be Dog eat dog or winner takes all world. It is the Darwinism of the game.

suggestion: have a contest where a winner will get a pro poker player watch them in an online tournament and give tips after each hand they play. Many hand I have played and wished a pro was watching to let me know if I did right.

Italian Tomato Garden:

An old Italian lived alone in New Jersey . He wanted to plant his annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work as the ground was hard.

His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:

Dear Vincent,
I
am feeling pretty sad, because it looks like I won’t be able to plant
my tomato garden this year. I’m just getting too old to be digging up a
garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over.. I
know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days.
Love, Papa

A few days later he received a letter from his son.

Dear Pop,
Don’t dig up that garden. That’s where the bodies are buried.
Love,
Vinnie

At
4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived and dug up
the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old
man and left.

That same day the old man received another letter from his son.

Dear Pop,
Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That’s the best I could do under the circumstances.

So… this is why I don’t play poker anymore

-I was playing in one of my first tournaments, the first prize was a fully paid trip to hawaii and i had made the final table!

It was down to the last 4 players and I looked at my hole cards and found K K.

I made a 2x pot raise and had 1 caller. The flop was an incredible K K A. Trying to not give away my hand I made a medium size bet. The other player came over the top with 2x my bet as a raise.

I thought for a few seconds and made the all in move. The other player instantly called and said ” unless you have K K, your drawing dead. With a huge smile I turned over my KK and he showed his AA hole cards. Turn card nothing, but the river card……….was the freakin case A!

I was still excited..I had hit the bad beat (which was 85K at the time!), but they quickly told me bad beat jackpot does not play during a tournament. So all i did was lose all my chips!

I have never had a bad beat hand since (15 years).
