Sitting in small blind, the action leads around with the whole table folding, a glance and QQ and a raise is in order. 12,000 in chips splash out against the felt. That’s 3x the big blind which are sitting at 1500/3000. Mr Big Blind makes the call and the flop comes 9J4 rainbow, which is rather nice for Gunnner. A 15,000 bet is made and an over the top all in is made by the big blind position. Gunnner checks his options for a second before also making the call. Cards are flipped to reveal 89 off suit. This looks like its going to be easy. However the turn comes a 10 and now his up against an inside straight draw….
The river…a 7. Mr Big Blind has picked up a straight draw and Gunnner is sent packing. Though he can take some consolation in the free beer Liam has waiting for him and that he has played the hand perfectly. Sometimes luck just wins out. Unlucky Gunnner, Ill be joining you shortly for another beer.
