Before I go diving headfirst into some intense ring game action there are several things I should consider. First – my bankroll, its close to $100 and if I read the article on bankroll management. Then I would know that I should only be playing stakes my bankroll can support. This means I can play limit and pot limit games up to .25/.50 and no limit games with maximum .5/.10. Now this seems rather small limits, but that way I will be able to ride out any intermediate losses without losing too much cash. I select a .10/.25 limit table and start play.
So here I am one week later after playing a fair amount of poker. I picked up a bit of cash and lost some too. I played some freerolls and even managed to place in the money and pick up $15. Now on the whole my bankroll is pretty much even to when I started; around the $115 dollar mark. So how do I make more money with my break even poker skill?
Enter a reload bonus. If I manage to break even by playing real money games over a long period, I am still able to capitalize on the many reload bonuses on offer. Most bonuses are cleared into your account by earning comp points, and as I’m playing, even if I don’t earn money I am able to clear a reload bonus into my account. So I deposit again using a reload bonus that gives me 100% on my deposit. I can also pick up an extra 15% again, by going with one of the other payment methods.
So now my player balance is up to $230, I’ve only spent $200 of my own cash in depositing, and I’ve made $30 without even winning at the tables. Furthermore If I only manage to break even for the following weeks of play, I will still increase my player balance as the reload bonus is cleared into my account. Even if I lose, the reload bonus might just offset my losses!
