Where’s that competitive drive that all poker pro’s consist of, more so than others?…I know very little of the two women but enough to know “PRO” isn’t the quality these two possess. Is this another case of nepotism or laying on your back?
There’s no crying in poker girls.A Pro has no guilt, the winner doesn’t see you cry.I can hear you,
loud just as I thought, calm down.
If your Pro Poker Players then for sakes use those same skills. It’s all about winning and who cares if nobody like’s you.Head up it’s better to be a liar honestly than to pretend your not one.We all now know your play strategy,we should appreciate the easy read from the start.Lie good on a good lie if your going to lie,Pro Poker Player under your name could of been your best weapon, you wasted it on a bad lie.Yeah it does affect your image or in any competitive sport, play better. If you want to win learn from your mistake and use it to your advantage, and please no crying you haven’t even come close losing anything to cry about. It’s not like you are in second playing for the winning spot.Oh and yeah your not there to make friends.Your there to win and winning is important.Winning should be your target more than ever now, get with it play the game.I love poker more than anyone I have ever met.I know I’m better than both of you put together!

My parents became part of the real estate melt down and if I ever make it deep into the $50K I’ll send it their way. I can’t help thinking how the banks are free rolling with our money except there is no one on the rail and they just chop the pot at the beginning. If I ever find a coupon I thought about transferring it over, but my Dad doesn’t like poker on steroids. Personally I love the way those flushes and straights hit so often, and how 74o is the favorite hand of half the table. At least in the first few levels :)

Any player with the idea that poker is just a game of luck needs to come to me and see how luck plays out on the table. Sure a little luck sure helps, but it’s not luck that folds your straight to a large overbet after a flush hits the board. Poker is played by all types of players. The donkeys, the pro’s, and the lotto players we all just love. Those that play with limited skills tend to make moves that seem to be just rediculous. The real skill comes from being able to read poker players skills and plays, and their willingness to play the lotto, make calls or moves that just make no sense. The real pro is the player that not only plays the odds to their best. It’s the player that can limit the luck of the others with their bets and understand when they should fold their pockets and ace rags to a table. It’s getting your money in with the best hand, folding to races that may end your tournament life. It’s really the skill of keeping the donkeys from kicking you, and eating all the fish you can eat. Those players out there that think you know poker I will tell you all, you dont know squat. You just go in and play your game and think that you will get better at poker. If your playing poker for money, and it’s serious you should look into getting some kind of poker coach to teach you. I see many good players just get stagnant because poker players are arrogant and think that being taught poker is just rediculous. They will keep making the mistakes that a good coach would point out. Many of the pro’s have coaches, and they are the best because they keep learning the tiniest of things about a poker play and they use what they learn to keep themselves out of trouble. I am soooo tired of someone calling another names such as donkey and worse. Those that call another a donkey is just a player that thinks that playing poker shouldn’t have any players make unreasonable calls or bets or whatever they did to be called that. This has become a rant of sorts, but this is what it all leads up to. “WE ARE ALL DONKEYS” We all make those moves some time. Poker players that play live and online for larger stakes know that the play differs from a freeroll. I know that winning in a freeroll is much harder then winning at higher stakes. The reason is, you dont have to make exceptions for the players who just dont care about the tournament. Those players make it harder not only because the table is much more random with odd moves and reasons but it also allows players to chip up (both good and bad). This isn’t so in big game cash tourns.
If you think that playing poker is just the cards you are so very wrong. The cards dont tell you that the player across the table has to leave for work, or his old lady says “THAT’S IT, I HAVE HAD IT”. You wont see that in big stakes tourns. and it allows for easier reads on plays and players. Players at higher stakes play much more conservatively and takes much longer to remove players from the game.
IF you have any desire to be great at poker it takes commitment, training, studies, practice, and a good coach you know makes too much sense. This is more like a sport then most realize.
Just as a point, the best pitchers in baseball have pitching coaches. The best hitters have hitting coaches. They all go out and hit and throw around before each game. They listen to their coaches. The coaches dont have to be better players, they are there to make you a better player.
Doyle Brunson said this, “I have been playing longer then most every poker player but I never stop learning. Poker changes and evolves, if you dont keep up with poker it will wash you out.”
I have been playing poker for 30+ years on and off… 9 years more serious.. and now for the last 4+ years have made poker my only source of income. I agree with whoever said “it’s the hardest way to make an easy living”.
I was reading in the forum about what makes you a “PRO”. Well I gave you just a small sample of what it takes. I will make it real simple.

IT TAKES NUTZ TO BE A PRO POKER PLAYER!

Making poker your way of making a living is just insane. I dont recommend ever really trying to do it. It’s not for the weak or the meek. You have to trust that you can pay your bills, as well as eat drink and be happy. All that and healthcare, children, women, and retirement. Investing your winnings, keeping bankroll committments, and the dreaded backroll to survive those down times when you cant win to save a life. We all have them.. even the pro’s. Getting home and auto loans are all but impossible. You cant prove an income. The amount of time you would need to spend just to get to the point of profitability is years for most. The scale is much higher for those who tell their boss to take this job and shove it. I loved it. Went back to work for a short 3 months once. I hated it! I recommitted myself to playing and got enough in a backup account seperate from the bankroll so that wont happen again. Just the lessons of financing poker for the fun of it was hard. No I didn’t start off winning the first day. Nobody does. The trials of figuring out a budget and sticking to it was tough. Is tough… lol. I make a good living hourly doing what I enjoy…i’m not flippin burgers for a 40 and a room in moms basement. Now, I have an all I can drink budget built in… i eat out most of the time.. and the casino is 10 mins away and open all 24/7 365 days. I go where I want, when I want for as long as I want with all the breaks I want. Do you want to make that break and quit your job? Do you really want to know poker? Most big pro’s are sponsored to write blogs and such.. I have my own poker forum. I know this to be true about poker books and learning. It cant be written. Those books you read are simple and read like stereo instructions. You can’t make record albums just with the instruction manual and a stereo. The real poker is told between the bets, after the folds, and each thing weighs into the decision you make. Just saying to raise preflop 3-4 times the blind preflop with big slick is to commit fraud. There are so many exceptions to any rule you read in any book that they are really just fluff manuals. The real inside stuff will never be written. Those that know will only pass it along to close friends that they speak to personally. Personally discussing the reasons why or why not is the only way to completely understand why you dont bet 3-4 times preflop with big slick. Everything from chip stacks, position, player count at the table, predicting the other players you play against, and much more needs to be discussed. This is the tricky part of learning and knowing poker. There isn’t just one way to play any given circumstance. A reraise may take down a pot you should fold.. or it could take you into a pot so far you get stuck and lose good chips that you need later. If you are only left with a few blinds after this preflop raise then it doesn’t make sense not to push in and try to get heads up. See? Every thing I read is generally good info. However, everyone has read these books that play at my level and use that to read the range of possible cards I might have when I make such a move. Be assured there is so much to know about poker that no book will ever be able to do it. The big pro’s have secrets they dont ever want out and wont ever be written. Too hard. I know because I was trained by a name pro, and I was good.. I was making it small time. Scrimping to make bankroll and bills. Trust this, there are some real sick smart players out there that know things about poker that would blow you away. Stuff they wont teach. Just ask the Pham brothers.. they live out by me. Ask most of them, Jonny Chan and they may say yes there is much many dont know, but they will also tell you no if you ask what.
    Good luck at the tables

If you think you play poker good just because you won. Then your poker days are nearly done. The way we all learned competition is so very different from poker. Those that play know this. So for those that still want poker to be this great… im better then you sport, I say this. Get over yourself. You dont have to be the only winner on a table. In a tournament it’s forced. I dont consider you better just because you got cards at the end of the tournament. Cash tables are much different. There are usually more then one person winning. I submit this to everyone that plays poker. BE NICE! A good player is also a good sport. I guess if you think about this long enough you will know I make sense. Maybe you wont get PO’d, and can laugh it off. Good luck. If you cant laugh it off… you wont play long. Blood pressure will bust you out if a poker player cant.

    PEACE
