The first day of play has completed and I’m proud to say that the Carbon Team has done extremely well with only 2 of our 8 members unable to survive through to Day 2. The good news is that fortune is waiting for six Carbon players who find themselves in the remaining 123 entrants of the originally 410 strong field.
However, today will possibly prove to be the toughest battle with the action tightening, the blinds increase and the shear fact that play will continue until only the final table remain. Now, if I get to see our super six seat at the final table, I’ll be as happy as a pig in mud!

Im looking forward to seeing today’s action get underway, but most importantly can’t wait to watch the battle resume between none other than Carbon’s very own Jason and his most idolized player: Mark Vos.
That’s right, only a day after Jason entertained us with his exclusive scoop about Vos being put in his place, by my now most favourite pitt boss…. He was now sitting to Jason’s right and I could see our boy was just busting to slap the ginger pro around the table.
And as you guessed, Jason wasted absolutely no time getting to work….
The First 3 Hands After Vos Joined Table:
• Hand 1 – Jason limps in
- table folds round to Vos
- Vos raises to 600, Jason Calls
- Flop: 10 Q 4
- Vos bets 1,200, Jason Calls
- Turn: 9
- Vos bets 2,000, Jason calls
- River: 8
- Vos bets 2,000, Jason raises to 5,000 and Vos calls
- Jason shows KJ for the straight over Vos’ two pair: Q9
• Next Hand – Table folds to Dealer: Vos
- Vos raises 2,500
- Jason in small blind re-raises to 5,000
- Big blind folds
- Vos thinks, then folds in disgust
- Jason later tells me he had pocket Kings
• 3rd Hand – Vos small blind, Jason big blind
- Table folds
- Vos raises 3 x big blind
- Jason again re-raises the little ranga
- After a long think and some exchanged glares, Vos folds again
It was at this very point that Jason decided to take a quick breather from the table and walks over to say, “Now that’s how you play F$#%@^& poker!”
Looks like our lil baby blogger is all grown up now and ready to take on anyone.
