For real? This is top of the page? I haven't been here in a while. This is like asking how many ounces of beer in a 12 ounce can.
Post this on the page.
Follow this story.
Put this into your game and smoke it.
We all think we know what another caller has. We look at little things like movements that are timed to a swallow and maybe shaky hands. Try as we do, and we "all" do, we take in everything and use E.S.P. to finally see what their cards are. Well, I do.... It's my story and im sticking to it.
Ok, what's more important then knowing their cards?
This... it's telling them stories. Most players aren't at this level, but the real difference between being successful and being good is in the stories you tell when playing. I dont have to know your cards if I told you the story of my cards each hand. I will tell you stories of cards that fit the winning profile. The draws, and the misses. The cards dont matter until the last bet is called. If you tell the right stories. You can make rags into riches. You would only see it as what I let you see. When you can sit with players and make them read your story every hand the way you want, Then you will win more hands at all steps.. and get paid for your winning hands. Keep in mind the most important part is that you must present to the others both yourself and your actions. The stories have to make sense...or you will be called on it. If you cant hold your cards hidden from their E.S.P. or reads then let them in.. but you control the story. Tell them I'm hiding my trips.. or .. that spade made my flush. Just stick to it. if im holding ace queen, flop misses, I just go back to what this story started like.. will he think I have the winners in my hand if I push a bigger bet? or..will he think it's just a follow up bet? Start the hand over and figure it out. I raised before the flop .. so let's just tell them I hit this card, or I have a bigger pocket pair in my hand then the cards on the flop. He wont believe a check is good hand. He would expect another bet so the bet has to say something, something believable to your play.. your smiles.. actions.. attitude.. everything. I wont even begin to tell you how to do this. You figure that out. Every player has to be in on it. You need to get their attention. Then present. My job is to keep you from having E.S.P. When I tell the story of my hands. I can make you see whatever I want them to be. This relies on your profile for the whole time at a table. If it all doesn't add up, then you most certainly are telling them your lying and the worse results usually follows. I will put a card show on for the table so when the others aren't sure they hold the the absolute nutz...I will see what adds up to me having the cards that they are worried about.
"Advanced Poker Play"
101

I have as they say married poker some time ago. I dont know any poker player currently that puts as much time per day every day for so long as I have and do. I know that the books will never tell you how poker is really won over time. I used to think it was intentional. While some is, I must say that I have been trying to write more on poker and Im finding out that it just cant be written. I have read many of the books but they can only sound like written instructions for assembling a stereo. The books all have good information. No book can tell you when you should for that top pair to an overbet. The books can have any and all the info you want but they cant deal with all the information that is required for every situation. It's impossible.
Play poker only for fun. This is not a sport for the faint at heart. Dont think you can just read a book and start a winning career in poker.

I welcome you all to any of my tables. See you on the felts.
the1steve
